Leading with the Universal view:
I am a being of light and love here on this planet to embody this awareness.
In this lifetime my love of the universes inspires me to seek ways to expand my consciousness and share those ways with others. I believe mankind seeks to remember that we all are created in love. The wonder of that inspires me as I desire to inspire others. I want to share the wisdom that we are all light and love with those who also seek to remember.
I hope you are one of those.
Bringing the Universal on to the Earth:
I am a wife, ( of 36 years, my clients insist I disclose: lending credibility to the “I walk the talk’, or I am in the trenches too, just a bit ahead) a mother, ( of two glorious grown sons with families of their own,) a grandmother, (of three: two lively spirited girls and a new baby boy) a therapist (of 45 years and counting: I love my work and don’t plan on stopping any time soon) residing on the Pacific coast of California south of San Francisco. I have the good fortune of living in a beautiful home with a garden, views of the ocean, trees and green hills. I am a morning hiker, a daily yogini. My body requires daily loving care in movement and nature.
Before I am out of bed in the morning I do a chakra/ energy center clearing. This is a spiritual to physical practice that aligns my body and spirit before I engage with my day. It is kind of like flossing my teeth: get all the detritus cleared out so I am fresh, intentional and most able to be responsive in my day ahead. As a mother of a teen son, I learned to establish my “wetsuit” boundary to protect my family members from a reactive me and a force field boundary to protect me from a family member’s triggered part whomping me. My feedback from my husband that confirms these practices work is him sharing with me that he loves to come find me in the morning & bask in the happiness that I have connected to.
Next I move my body.
I consider myself fortunate that I have the stamina and desire to create time to move. Movement allows me to be grounded, in touch with my body, and responsive. My favorites are early morning hikes in nature and yoga. I find on busy days I have to get up earlier. Pulling myself out of a cozy warm bed can need an extra push some mornings but I remember the payoff and give myself the boost.
Our troubled world requires of me a constant blend of gratitude and problem solving.
Another of my teachers, Wayne Dyer, echoes in my brain: “There is a spiritual solution to every problem.” Thank you, Wayne. I have many meditative to prayer practices that I believe give me a direct line to guidance. I like to share those with others who seek me out. A private practice of coaching and therapy allows me to share what I have learned with others.
My family is my other main focus. Being a wife, mother and grandmother is a great joy. I like to play, create, and grow and learn with my family. All my family members are great teachers.
Not all the lessons are easy. We are each committed however to stay connected through kind and careful speaking and listening. It is a desired dedication we all share.
In my being I know we are all in the evolution of the human species together.
I seek to be a healing agent of the relational connections that have been overlooked in our society both in my family and in the world.
Namaste,
Donna
